What would happen if no one worked?

There would be widespread power outages and no fuel for cars or generators. In cold climates, many would freeze to death or resort to burning everything possible to create heat. Gas systems would probably still work since gas can be piped long distances indefinitely.

What would happen if humans lost 50% of all jobs in the world to robots?

If robots police the unpoliced/unsecured conflict areas and bring peace, we could have a plenty of jobs created there for the humans. Assuming there are a 2 billion jobs in 2017, the number of jobs could go to 5 billion in 2025, of which if half are done by robots, we still win.

What happens if you don’t work for a year?

If you didn’t work at all during the year, you won’t have any earned income. However, you might have unearned income, such as interest and dividends from investments. The IRS sets minimum income levels that vary depending on your filing status. If your gross income is under the limit, you may have to file.

What would happen if everyone took a day off?

If everyone would take an off for a day means all the services and helps you get from others directly or indirectly on a daily basis would curtailed. If you know your daily chores you would at least not go hungry (assuming you store some food in advance or you have your own kitchen garden).

Will robots take away all human jobs?

A rigorous study of the impact of robots in manufacturing, agriculture, and utilities across 17 countries, for instance, found that robots did reduce the hours of lower-skilled workers—but they didn’t decrease the total hours worked by humans, and they actually boosted wages.

Should you come in on your day off?

The employer can require you to come in early, to stay late, or to work on what is supposed to be your day off. If you don’t work when your employer says you must, you may be terminated. Your employer cannot make you work on a day contractually guaranteed to be your day off.

Is it OK to have a day off?

A day off will: Bolster your heart health and help prevent heart diseases. Reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, while increasing life satisfaction. Increase productivity and focus, and let you fall in love with your job again.
