Is Sunbrella fabric really worth it?

Sunbrella Fabric has been hailed as the best in outdoor cushion fabrics. Highly durable, water-resistant, and fade-resistant, Sunbrella fabrics are so well engineered that you need to see it to believe it. Sunbrella fabrics are easy to wash, extremely low maintenance, and mold/mildew resistant.

What fabric is comparable to Sunbrella?

Outdura
Outdura. With a pretty good price point, Outdura offers solution dyed acrylics just like Sunbrella. They are the same fabric composition.

How do you mark Sunbrella?

To mark your hem lines and cut lines, use a soapstone pencil. Soapstone pencils mark the fabric very well, leaving a very visible line of your fabric. Soapstone is also very easy to remove with just a wet rag, or the markings will fade eventually from the weather.

Is it hard to sew Sunbrella?

Putting a regular sewing pin through Sunbrella is almost impossible.

What is the difference between Grade A and Grade C Sunbrella fabric?

Grade A– Least expensive. Grade C (Standard Sunbrella & In Stock Options)– Top quality cushions made with the best materials. Grade C cushions are typically made from synthetic polymers called acrylics, which are 100% solution dyed before they become a fiber for increased colorfastness.

Is sunbrella made in China?

Manufacturing. Sunbrella fabrics are manufactured in facilities around the globe. This facility established the blueprint for our plants in Lille, France and Suzhou, China, manufacturing locations that enable us to best serve our customers in those regions.

What is the difference between acrylic and Sunbrella?

ACRYLIC fabrics are soft to the touch, they dry quickly, are mildew resistant, easy to clean and will stay cool in the sun. Sunbrella is the perfect fabric for outdoor cushions and umbrellas. A lesser known brand of fabric, Outdura, is very similar to Sunbrella.
