How long does it take to train in acupuncture?

It takes three years of training on our acupuncture courses to qualify with a BSc in Acupuncture, apply to register with the professional body, the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), and start work as a fully qualified acupuncturist. It is also possible to take the BSc course part time over up to six years.

How do I train to be an acupuncturist?

You will need to complete a three-year course in order to become an acupuncturist. You’ll need to assess the related issues surrounding clients’ symptoms, such as lifestyle, diet and stress, so you’ll need to have good communication and listening skills.

Is dry needling the same as acupuncture?

It’s called dry needling because nothing is injected into the body with the needle. The tool used for dry needling and acupuncture is the same. Both practices use acupuncture needles, which are solid filiform needles.
