How long can a 16 year old work in Missouri?

8 hours of work per day, 40 per week, 6 days out of the week are permitted when school is off. On a school day, 3 hours of work are permitted. For Minors Ages 16 and 17: Missouri has no restrictions on maximum working hours for minors aged 16 and 17.

How late can minors work in Missouri?

A maximum of 40 hours per week. No more than six days per week. No earlier than 7am or later than 9pm between June 1 and Labor Day. May work until 10:30pm in a regional fair or specialty venue.

Can a 16 year old go into full time employment?

Young people can start full-time employment as soon as they leave school, which is on the last Friday in June of the year that they turn 16 years old. If a young person starts a full time job at 16 they will still need to complete at least 280 guided learning hours a year in education or training.

Can a 16 year old use a slicer?

16- and 17-year-olds may do most kinds of work in restaurants, but are prohibited from doing the following types of hazardous work: Working with power-driven meat processing machines. This includes meat slicers, saws, patty forming machines, grinders, or choppers.
