Can I take college classes while on unemployment?

A: Yes, students are eligible to receive their unemployment insurance payments while attending classes. This benefit allows students to continue receiving their unemployment benefits while in school and even allows them a training extension, if needed.

If you are a student getting the COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment. COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payments will cease for full-time students with the start of the 2021/2022 academic year. The last payment to students will be 7 September 2021.
