Can gynecomastia be caused by steroids?

In older males, gynecomastia can be caused by a change in hormone levels. Use of certain medicines may also cause gynecomastia, including: Steroids, such as prednisone or dexamethasone.

Does gynecomastia go away after steroid use?

Note that gynecomastia is just one side effect of anabolic steroid use, and other side effects from steroids may be more concerning for physical health.
